The Sun: EGO

Astronomically speaking, everything in the solar system (the universe) has a purpose and a function. The sun is first (in the heavens) as it is first and closest to the earth. On earth, the sun is the life force-because without the sun there would be no life on earth.

THE SUN’S ASTRONOMICAL FACT AS ITS CONNECTION TO ASTROLOGY:

Astrologically speaking, he (the sun) is the strongest representation of who you are: your character, your ego, how you present yourself “firstly” (consciously).

The ego is what you project onto other people and your surroundings because it is all the “you” that you are aware of. That ego (the conscious you) is found in your sun sign. “Ego” and “first” are emphasized when speaking of the sun sign because the sun is the star of all the stars-the largest in the solar system (whose position is at the center of all the planets orbiting around it). And because of that, it behaves “like a star:” projecting “ego.”

Astronomically speaking, he gives us: energy, heat and light whereas astrologically speaking, the sun gives us our sense of purpose, willpower as well as our creative energy.

“He” is emphasized when referring to the sun because the sun is “masculine” (electric, spontaneous and self-expressive).
