The Rising: SPIRIT

Astronomically speaking, as the earth rotates on its axis, a different degree of the sun’s path around it rises above the horizon every four minutes, resulting in a new constellation (zodiac sign) on the ascendant approximately every two hours. So because of this, within the twenty-four hour day, any of the twelve zodiac signs will be found on this ascendant. This constant rotation is the reason why it is highly unlikely that someone will have the same sun, moon and rising sign as you. How wonderful it is to know that every two hours of every four minutes of every single twenty-four hour day, some individual is getting his or her rising sign(as if being given a star). Magical! THE ASCENDANT’S ASTRONOMICAL FACT AS ITS CONNECTION TO ASTROLOGY:

Astrologically speaking, the rising/ascendant sign is the sign that was ascending the horizon at the month, date and time you were born. It is the hidden you, but it is the first impression that you give to others-a subtly dominate part of your personology and outward manifestation of the “you” that the world “perceives.” Also, the ascendant is the sign that has very much to do with the way you express yourself (if you discover your karma mission and purpose in life-which is what this book is written to help you find). It is your niche¢ sign by which your natural talent, skill and ability are found and your karma mission to lead, organize or communicate will exude. As explained at the beginning in the section: “Methodology: The Algorithm for Determining Your Purpose in Life” (page XVII), the reason for focusing on this rising/ascendant sign is to provide you with a full understanding of your rising sign’s uniqueness (separate from your sun and moon sign) and how by way of it; your destiny/karma mission and purpose in life is to be fulfilled-should you choose to live life through it (otherwise-by free will or by default).
